Who this covers

This policy applies to the RedLight app for macOS ("RedLight", "the app"), published by Kernow Labs ("we", "us"). It explains how the app handles information — which, in short, is by not collecting any.

Information we collect

None. RedLight does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information about you. It has no user accounts, no sign-in, and does not require an internet connection to function.

The audio you record is written directly to a file on your Mac, in the location you choose. Those recordings never leave your device through RedLight and are never seen by us or any third party.

Microphone and audio permission

macOS asks your permission before RedLight can capture audio. This permission is used solely to record sound on your own Mac to a local file, at your request. RedLight does not use it to listen in the background without your action, and captured audio is not sent anywhere.

Analytics and tracking

RedLight contains no analytics, telemetry, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking software of any kind. We do not use third-party SDKs that collect data, and we do not build any profile of you or your usage.

In-app purchases

RedLight offers a one-time in-app purchase ("RedLight Unlimited") to remove the free recording limit. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, payment card, or other payment details — Apple handles all of that, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We may see anonymous, aggregated sales figures from Apple, which do not identify individual customers.

Where your recordings live

Recordings are stored locally on your Mac in the folder you select, and remain fully under your control. You can move, play, share, or delete them at any time using the Finder. If you enable RedLight's optional automatic cleanup, the app may delete older recordings you have made, according to the age or size limit you set — this happens only on your Mac and only to files RedLight created.

Children's privacy

RedLight is rated suitable for all ages and does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Sharing with third parties

Because RedLight collects no data, there is nothing to share. We do not sell, rent, or disclose any personal information to third parties.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data — for example, if a future version were to add an online feature — we will update this policy and its effective date before that change ships. Continued use of RedLight after an update means you accept the revised policy.
